Help with TrustDate.

TrustDate is a small, independently operated product. There's no helpdesk system or chat bot — when you email, a real person reads it.

Frequently asked questions

Why doesn't the panel appear on my dating site?

Most often: the site-access toggle in your browser's extension settings is off. Open chrome://extensions (or edge://extensions), click Details on TrustDate, scroll to Site Access, and make sure the dating site you're on is enabled.

What dating sites are supported?

Currently: Match.com, OurTime, eHarmony, OkCupid, and Silver Singles. We add support based on user demand — email us with the site you'd like to see next.

Does TrustDate work on mobile dating apps?

Not directly. TrustDate is a browser extension and works on desktop versions of dating sites. For mobile-only platforms (Hinge, Bumble, Tinder), the parallel TrustDate App — a screenshot-driven version of the same engine — is in development. Browser when available. Screenshots when not.

Why does my score look low for someone I think is real?

The score reflects how much verification work has actually been done — not how clean the profile looks. A profile whose photos haven't been reverse-searched will cap at around 70% confidence until you run that step. Open Photo Review in the side panel and use one of the reverse-image-search buttons (Yandex, Google Lens, or Bing Visual Search) on each photo. If the photos come back clean, mark the Photo Review as Looks consistent. The score will rise accordingly.

Why did TrustDate flag someone who turned out to be a real person?

False positives happen, especially on profiles with limited detail, profiles with non-native English bios, or profiles with structured-attribute lists. If you encounter one, please send us a screenshot — we use real cases to calibrate the checks.

I added a profile to my watchlist by accident — how do I remove it?

In the current version, watchlist entries are one-way. Email us with the profile name and we'll add a remove option to the next release. (Future versions will include a profile-level "Remove from watchlist" button.)

Will TrustDate ever sync my local watchlist across my devices?

Yes — cross-device sync is planned as an optional premium feature. The free tier always stays free; cross-device sync would be an add-on for users who use TrustDate across multiple browsers or devices.

Do you share my data with dating sites or anyone else?

No. TrustDate runs entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to anything you do with the extension. See the Privacy Policy for the full details.

Is TrustDate affiliated with Match Group or any dating company?

No. TrustDate is built and operated independently by Alice Ventures, LLC. We are not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with any dating platform.

How do I uninstall?

Go to chrome://extensions (or edge://extensions), find TrustDate, and click Remove. All locally-stored data (your local watchlist, review history, etc.) is removed automatically. We retain nothing about you because we never had anything about you.
